Prevention and Care of the Little Ones
We educate in dental prevention so you can enjoy the best oral health.
We care for your children's oral health
Pediatric dentistry is a specialized branch of dentistry dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oral diseases from infancy through the end of growth.
At Llistosella Dental, we have a team of specialized and highly qualified professionals to meet the dental care needs of children. Prevention is our top priority for children. Our philosophy is to educate in prevention so they can later enjoy better oral health.
The pediatric dentist will detect possible abnormalities in both primary dentition (baby teeth) and mixed dentition (replacement of temporary teeth). They will assess potential functional problems in speech, swallowing, breathing, and possible skeletal and jaw growth defects. Our goal is to prevent and avoid children from suffering from problems and pathologies that can worsen in adulthood. The most common treatments in pediatric dentistry are:
Prophylaxis with oral hygiene and dietary instruction.
- Prophylaxis with oral hygiene and dietary instruction.
- Fluoridation.
- Fissure sealing.
- Fillings.
- Pulp treatment (pulpotomy, pulpectomy).
- Trauma.
- Frenectomy.
- Space maintainers.
- Interceptive orthodontics.

We resolve your doubts
When should you take your child to the dentist?
We recommend visiting the dentist for the first time when the first set of teeth erupts, around two and a half to three years of age.
This first visit is very useful because it helps the child become familiar with the dental office and examination. It builds confidence and thus prevents future fears.
How to prevent cavities in children?
The most important thing is to get your child into the habit of brushing his or her teeth. We recommend brushing three times a day for three minutes.
Another important factor to consider in preventing cavities is eating habits. Avoid sweets, sugary drinks, and processed foods.
What happens if a baby tooth has cavities?
If a baby tooth has cavities, it’s important to treat them promptly. Untreated cavities can cause pain, discomfort, and infection in children, and can affect the development of permanent teeth.
Is it normal for my child to have spaces between their baby teeth?
If your child has gaps between their baby teeth, it’s common and beneficial for the eventual eruption of permanent teeth. They’ll have more room for the permanent teeth to fit in later.
